How we hold a draft

We tried, early, to store the studio as a conversation. It was convenient for the model. It was a disaster for the writer.

A conversation wants the next turn. A draft wants to be left alone.

Pages, not threads

A Hikari page has a title, a room, a body, and a margin. The margin is where the lamp writes. The body is where you write. Mixing them made every draft look like a dispute.

When you accept a suggestion, it becomes ink. When you refuse it, it leaves. There is no archive of rejected sentences unless you keep one.

Named seats

If a page is waiting, it waits for a person. House seats are named. A draft does not sit in a shared abyss called “the team.”

This is slower to assign. It is the only way a letter leaves the house with a spine.

The shutter

Sending is a separate gesture. The lamp can prepare a share view. It cannot open the shutter. That rule has survived every review because the alternative is a tool that publishes your hesitation.
