Reading aloud to the model
The most reliable way to use the lamp is still the oldest editorial habit: hear the sentence.

I read drafts aloud in a room with a window. The lamp is allowed to listen. It is not allowed to interrupt.
This sounds ceremonial. It is mechanical. A sentence that cannot be said is usually a sentence that cannot be meant.
What the lamp hears
When you read, Hikari marks places you hesitate. Those marks are not corrections. They are a map of where your mouth did not believe the line.
You can ask the lamp to propose a plainer version of a marked sentence. You can ignore the map. The map does not publish itself.
A window, not a stage
The photograph for this note is a square window and a pine branch. There is no audience. Reading aloud is not a performance for the model. The model is furniture.
If you are embarrassed to read a paragraph, the paragraph is not finished. No generate button will fix that faster than saying it once.
After the reading
Close the shutter. Walk. The Essay room will still be there. The lamp will not have rewritten the ending while you were in the garden.
